Dr. Shannon Williams
Growing up in the Portland Metro area, the strong bonds she formed with her family pets, combined with her love for exploring the Oregon outdoors, fueled her passion for the human-animal bond, biology and medicine.
After her 2005 graduation from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shannon remained in Corvallis, launching her career in animal medicine at a mixed animal practice. Though she enjoyed working with all animals, the experience brought clarity to her passion for working with dogs and cats in particular.
In 2008, she returned to the Portland area to continue, and evolve, her career closer to family. During these years of practice she received training in Veterinary Acupuncture and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. Through the course of her career, she has developed special interests in preventative care, pain management, rehabilitation/physiotherapy, geriatric and hospice care. She now provides care in specialty diagnostics services and proudly brings her experience, wholeheartedly, to serve you and your beloved pet at Narra Vet.

Certified Veterinary Technicians
Joy
Certified Veterinary Technician, CVT
I grew up in Maryland and moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend Washington State University where I received my B.S. in Animal Science in 2021. I have always had a passion for working with and helping animals for as long as I can remember. I am new to the veterinary field and currently studying to become a certified veterinary technician (CVT) at Portland Community College. I have a love for all animals but have a soft spot for cows! I have two dogs, a chihuahua mix named Belle, and a Goldendoodle named Prince Marley (AKA Prince). When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, baking, gardening, and cuddling with my dogs on the couch.

Maryrose
CERTIFIED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
Maryrose grew up in the small town of Goleta, CA with a strong passion for animals and had many types of pets, both domestic and exotics large and small. Since preschool, Maryrose has always had a dream of working in a zoo or aquarium, and because of this she exposed herself to every and all animal opportunities possible. At 18, she started volunteering at the Channel Islands Marine and Wildlife Institute (CIMWI) where she had her first introduction to veterinary medicine rehabbing emaciated and injured marine mammals back to health. Additionally, she managed a pet store known for its reptile collection (where she picked up her nickname Rosie), volunteered at a companion parrot rescue, and became an educator at the Santa Barbara Zoo. In 2018, Maryrose made the decision to move up to the Pacific Northwest where she landed her first vet clinic job as a kennel tech in Salmon Creek, WA. From there, she found a new passion within the realm of veterinary medicine and landed a spot at PCC’s Vet Tech Program in 2021. During her schooling, she was the Vet Tech Club President and landed internships at the Santa Barbara Zoo, The Oregon National Primate Research Center, Cat Adoption Team, and coming out of graduation landed a preceptorship at the Oregon Zoo. With her passion for exotics and wanting to strengthen her skills as a licensed technician, Narra Vet Clinic was the perfect fit for all her goals. Besides loving her animals, Maryrose enjoys spending time with her husband, Drake, going on hikes, and recently started cross stitching and embroidery in her off time.

Devri
Veterinary Assistant
Devri was born and raised in the Portland-Metro area where she still continues to reside. She shares her home with her husband, two children, and their two miniature Australian Shepherds, Ripley and Willow. She began her career in Veterinary Medicine in 2013, though her love for animals dates back to her earliest memories. She takes a great amount of pride in her animal nursing career to advocate for the wellbeing of animals and strives to make each and every veterinary visit as stress free and comfortable as possible for both our patients and clients.
Devri is RECOVER CPR certified for Basic and Advanced Life Support for small animals, a Fear Free Certified Professional, and is currently enrolled in school to complete her Veterinary Technician Certification. When she’s not busy working, studying, or chauffeuring kids to-and-from, she enjoys cooking, crafting, bird watching, singing, traveling, as well as saying “hello” to every animal she sees.
Hannah

Hannah grew up in the Portland area and for as long as she can remember she has had a love for animals. In elementary school when she was asked what she wanted to be she said a vet and has worked to in the vet field every day since. She loves all kinds of animals, but she currently has 2 very sweet baby rats named Pip, Nicodemus, and a sassy bearded dragon named Draco. She works hard at Narra and loves her place as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She is a newer team member who started in April of 2024, but has loved every day since working with all the wonderful clients and patients!
Client Care Representatives
Pringle
Pringle is a two year old Basset Hound who was offered a job after being found begging for snacks behind a Target. She has since found her place as a greeter/client care representative and greatly enjoys her cozy corner behind the front desk. Pringle is always available for hugs and kisses, and will never say no to a snack (or four or five). In her spare time, Pringle loves watching documentaries in bed with her mom, ensuring quality control of her toys by making sure the squeakers still squeak, and chasing leaves in the street. If she were not a receptionist, she would want to be a garbage truck driver.
